Since the end of 2015, I have started with a career coach and been discussing with members of my network thoughts around career progression and possible next steps for myself. The role I am in at present has changed following a recent re-organisation and is not matching where I wish to be. So the time has come to review my career plan and look for the next challenge. Whilst I have some ideas about what I want in the future, I am finding a coach helpful to explore this further and chatting to members of the intranet community really useful.
I am planning on sharing thoughts following these sessions in a series of posts which will chart my (hopeful) progress. I suspect the posts will be very self reflective and are written mainly for my own benefit, but I hope some of it helps you if you are also exploring your career path, especially if you’re in the intranet world.
