Why a blog?

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

So having been online for almost 20 years, this is only my second blog. I did have one when I went travelling back in 2000. But with a couple of million blogs out there, never saw the need to add to the noise.

So why now? Well, great question, glad you asked. Three things brought me to  starting this blog:

  • A Personal Knowledge Mastery (PKM) course I did earlier this year (2014) made we look at how I share knowledge. Badly as it turns out. So this blog will become an area to share my knowledge.
  • Having worked on intranets for too long now, I hope I have a few things to share.
  • I think the future role of intranet managers and digital workplace leaders is a conversation worth having and I want to be part of that conversation.

I also enjoy writing, but am a little rusty, so thought it would be a good place to start.

So I guess in the first few weeks and months the blog will be sparse, content will jump around a little as I find my style. Please be patient, but let me know what you think.
